IDC Staff Instructor
PADI IDC Staff Instructors are PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers who have successfully completed an IDC Staff Instructor course. After becoming an IDC Staff Instructor you will be able to independently conduct PADI Assistant Instructor courses as well as assist PADI Course Directors on IDCs. You will also have taken the next step on the long road to your Course Director dream.
IDC Staff Instructor Requirements
- Be a renewed, teaching status PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
- Agree to conduct all PADI certification courses and experience programs using methods consistent with PADI Standards and philosophy as outlined in the PADI Instructor Manual.
- Agree to use the PADI System and components in its entirety.
Your IDC Staff Instructor course will take place in the 3 days prior to the IDC.
Since the course includes auditing an IDC you will need to stay for the complete IDC, so you will need to schedule at least two weeks here in Indonesia. There is no additional charge for auditing the IDC immediately following your IDC Staff Instructor course if you take the IDC Staff course with Bali Scuba.

Bali Scuba IDC Staffing
If you are already a PADI IDC Staff Instructor you can earn credit toward the PADI Master Instructor rating by staffing Bali Scuba IDCs. To qualify, you must actively participate as staff for the entire IDC. One credit is given for each instructor candidate in the course up to a maximum of eight credits per IDC, and a maximum of 50 instructor candidate credits may be used to meet Master Instructor rating requirements.
